Resolved Question: German Coursework - Needs Checking Through To See If It Is Correct!?
Hi everyone, I've been given some German coursework to do about a recent Holiday. I am currently in year 10 but due to moving school at the stat of year 8, I've only had lessons in year 7 of German. I started doing lessons again about 2 months ago, so my German isn't at the standard of most other year 10's yet. Please could somebody who is fluent in German, check this through and let me know of any mistakes I have made and what needs correcting (by this I basically mean, don't Google Translate it.. because Online Translation Tools are not completely accurate). Thanks, Liam --------------------------------------------------- Meine Ferien Letztes Jahr bin ich nach Skegness gefahren, es war sehr spass. Wir haben auf Skegness sieben Tag gefahren. Ich bin mit meiner Familie gefahren. Ich bin mit dem Auto gefahren. Die reise hat einen stunden gedauert und war sehr, sehr langweilig. Ich habe Musik am Radio gehört, das Musik war nicht gut. Wir haben in einem Wohnwagen geblieben. Das Wohnwagen was sehr klein aber es war Super! Ich viele neue Freundschaften gemacht. Ich habe am ersten Tag einen neue Freund namens James gemacht, wir haben jeden tag Fussball gespielt. James ist Vierzehn Jahre alt, die gleichen Alter wie mir. Er haben ins einem Ferienhaus geblieben. Die gegend war prima und es jab viel interessantes zu tun. Wir haben am zweiten Tag ein Schloss besucht, es war nicht gut und war sehr langweilig aber das Wetter war sehr schön, es war sonnig und warm. Ich habe am dreiten und vierten Tag mit meiner schwester Tennis gespielt und wir haben am vierten Tag ein Vergungunspark besucht, das war sehr spass! Ich bin am funften und sechsten Tag ins dem Kino gegangen und ich bin schwimmen gegangen. Wir haben am letztes Tag ins Restaurant gegessen. Ich habe Würstchen, Pommes und Bohnen gegessen und Cola getrunken, das war sehr lecker! Ich habe Käsekuchen probiert. Das beste war, dass ich have mit James jeden Tag Fussball gespielt, das war sehr toll! Nächstes Jahr möchte ich nach Spanien fahren. Ich werde in einem Hotel wohen. Ich werde ein Vergnügungspark besuch und im Meer schwimmen. When I apply, my GPA from the two schools combined will probably be between a 2.1 and a 2.5 depending on when the application deadline is. -I haven't taken my ACT yet but on my practice test I got a 25 composite (33 English, 25 Science, 24 Reading, 18 Math). -My essay is already finished and I think it's really really good. It talks about why my grades were so horrible before and how the challenge has made me stronger. -Extracurriculars include: Tennis Waterski team Vocal jazz Retail work Secretary Voice & piano lessons Church mission trip Participated in solo ensemble competitions -Also took honors and AP classes So, what colleges do you think would accept me? It's time for me to start looking for colleges that I'm going to apply to. It's difficult, though, because I have a horrible GPA of a 2.4. I have my college admissions essay done, however, and it's AWESOME. I don't mean to toot my own horn but it's true. The essay explains why my grades were so horrible my first three years (illness) and how I overcame my obstacles. My senior year I transfered to an online school (it's completely valid) and got a 4.0. Combining my first three years of public school and my senior year get me that 2.4. I have a fair amount (I think) of extracurriculars: -tennis -voice & piano lessons -honors society my senior year -worked retail senior year -vocal jazz -secretarial work grades 9-12 -waterski team -church mission grade 9 -participated in solo ensemble competitions I also took honors and AP classes this year. So, my question is, what schools do you think I should apply to? Also, do you think they will care that I had an illness and how much effect will that have on my admission? Thanks! Right now, I am having a semi-private tennis lesson with this guy who totally suck. He have been playing for like almost two years and my friend that just started playing can play better than him (forehands, backhands). Is it bad for my tennis game to continue lessons with him because when I play with him, I have no inspiration to inspire me to play better. My tennis level is pretty decent where I have a strong forehand, solid backhand, good volleys and I can serve. Should I just find someone better to have lessons with because right now, that guy has seemingly no potential and accorinding to many websites online, it said not to play with people a lot worse than you.
