Resolved Question: How has Chris Martin (New Zealand) managed to get an average of 2.3?
Don't u rekon hes the worst ever batsmen that crickets ever seen? lol I actually feel sorry for him coz hes that bad. And how did he get an average of 2.3 lol. Even if hes scored most of his runs against at team like Bangladesh i would still expect that they would still bowl him out for 0 considering how bad he is. Give anyone the chance to bowl at him and hed go out. I know hes not there for his batting but surely he should offer a bit of ressistance and work on his batting. Maybe its better off for NZ to sort of say well if u get 9 wickets uve bowled us out and not even bother sending him out lol...... Lol yehhhh true most of his runs have probably come from edges although that would be an acheivement for him to just simply edge a ball. Also i rekon that bowlers should not be credited if they get him out. Like i mean if they get 5/43 and get Martin out then they should only get 4/43 because hes a pushover lmaoo moreResolved Question: Is England the only team that would have Tim Ambrose?
Tim Ambrose. Tiny Tim Ambrose. I'm quite sure that he's a great guy in real life and all that. I'm also quite sure that he's come through a lot of adversity in order to play professional cricket, as he must have been under great pressure to focus his energies on a career as a rowing cox or a jockey. But would he get a Test anywhere else in the world? Let's take a cursory look, without really assessing any evidence, and see whether Tim would elbow out any of the current wicketkeepers in world cricket. AUSTRALIA: Current keeper is Brad Haddin. Tim can only DREAM. He wouldn't be good enough to be in the top ten Australian keepers. Ronchi, Crosthwaite, Paine, Hartley, Manou, Smith, Clingeleffer, Anderson and Wade all beat him. NEW ZEALAND: Current keeper is Brendan McCullum. Also hanging around is Gareth Hopkins. Tim looks a bit like Gareth Hopkins, but that's the closest he's getting. If Prince Brendan was English, he'd be bigger than Freddie. PAKISTAN: Kamran Akmal. There was a time last year that I thought he was going to be dropped, but he dug in against India and is still around. Tim might beat him in looks, but he can't compete INDIA: Current keeper is MS Dhoni, but Dinesh Karthik is also around for whenever Dhoni doesn't feel like it. Again, total dreamland for Tim. Karthik beats him with the bat and Dhoni beats him with the hair. SRI LANKA: Prasanna Jayawardene is the Test specialist, another rather suave guy who's kept a bit who's not a bad batsman either. I happen to like Prasanna Jayawardene so there's no way I'd pick Ambrose over him. SOUTH AFRICA: Mark Boucher. Once again, Tim can only dream. WEST INDIES: Denesh Ramdin. He ain't no Jeff Dujon, and is properly babyfaced so that I can't imagine a filthy sledge coming out of his mouth, but is thought of as having "promise" and "potential". They might want him. BANGLADESH: Mushfiqur Rahim. Now, this is where things might get interesting for Tim, but I really like this kid. He's even teeny tinier than Ambrose (yes, such a thing is possible, yes, he must indeed be the size of an ant), and he's not yet twenty. I'm not convinced, though, that Tim would edge him out of a team. Mushfiq's top test score is 80, against Sri Lanka, digging in with Ashraful, but he's put in a couple of memorable one day performances, notably against India in the world cup. ZIMBABWE: Pushing his luck there. I'd pick Taibu or Taylor over him anyday. moreResolved Question: υηкησωη (Question #1)?

Zunaed Siddique and Mashrafe Mortaza scripted Bangladesh's first-ever victory over New Zealand in one-day cricket with a comfortable seven-wicket win in the opening match on Thursday. Left-hander Siddique scored a brilliant 85 for his maiden half-century to anchor his team's successful chase of a 202-run target in 45.3 overs at Shere Bangla National Stadium after paceman Mortaza took 4-44 to jolt the tourists. Mohammad Ashraful notched a return-to-form 60 not out to guide Bangladesh to their first win over the Black Caps in 12 one-dayers, as the home team skipper and Siddique added 109 for the third wicket to upset their formidable opponents. how many of you believe that the Bangladesh team have it in them to make it big in cricket......?? how many of you think that this is a new beginning for them.....?? cheers :) moreResolved Question: Should Michael Vaughan be dropped if he struggles in the forthcoming series against New Zealand?
Since he scored his last Test century against India in July 2007, Vaughan has scored 391 Test runs from 14 innings. That's an average of less than 28. Hardly the form of a man who aspires to take his country to the pinnacle of world cricket. If Vaughan continues to struggle in the next home series against New Zealand, the England management will have a tough decision to make. A lot of time, effort, and money has been spent on getting Vaughan back onto the field again. But they have shown themselves to be ruthless when star players are not performing, by dropping Harmison and Hoggard. Should Vaughan be treated any differently from them because: a) He is the captain?; b) He is a batsman? Can Vaughan justify his inclusion based on captaincy alone? moreResolved Question: HI CRICKET FANS,some facts on Cricket just for u?
TELL ME A FACT OR EVEN A JOKE IN RETURN.. FACTS *The first one-day international was held between England and Australia at Melbourne in 1971. Actually the first four days of a test match had been rained out, so on the final day the first ever one-day international was organized. Australia won the match. * Geoff Boycott faced the first ball in one-day cricket - not exactly the most dashing of batsmen! Graham McKenzie was the bowler. *No one has ever scored 4 successive one-day centuries. Herschelle Gibbs scored 3 successive centuries, and was on 97* when South Africa needed 4 to win. Alok Kapali bowled a wide which went for 4, and Gibbs was denied the record by the tiniest of margins! *Anthony Stuart took 5 wickets including a hat trick in his third ODI for Australia. Strangely enough he was never picked for Australia again. *Sourav Ganguly is the only cricketer to have won four successive Man of the Match awards in One-day Internationals. Paul Collingwood of England is the of England is the only man to score a century and take 6 wickets in an ODI. Against Bangaldesh in 2005 he scored 112* and took 6/31 in 10 overs - truly amazing! The Pakistan vs India ODI at Karachi in 2003-04 saw 693 runs being scored (a world record). India batting first scored 349/7 and Pakistan got within a whisker of pulling off an amazing run chase. They scored 344/8 with Inzamam scoring an inspirational 122. At Capetown in 1992-93, the then world cup champions Pakistan were dismissed for 43 aganist the West Indies in an ODI - at that time the lowest ever. Their record was broken by Zimbabwe in 2001-02 when they scored 38 all out against Sri Lanka in 2001-02. This included the best bowling performance in ODIS - 8/19 by Chaminda Vaas. Sri Lanka then dismissed Canada for 36 in the 2002-03 world cup, but Zimbabwe wanted the record back. In 2004 they reclaimed their dubious distinction with a 35 all out, again against Sri Lanka. In the early 1980s in an ODI between England and West Indies, the Windies needed 4 runs off the last ball and so England captain, Mike Brearley put all the fielders and the wicket-keeper on the fence to prevent a boundary from being scored. Fielding restrictions were then introduced in the Benson & Hedges Cup in Australia, and were adopted for all ODIs after the 1992 world cup. In 2005 these fielding restrictions have been changed in an attempt to make the game more interesting. In the third match of a best of 5 finals in the Benson & Hedges cup in 1980-81 New Zealand needed 15 runs off the last over. In the first five balls Trevor Chappell dismissed Richard Hadlee and Ian Smith but conceding 8 runs. Off the last ball Brian McKechnie needed to hit a six to force a tie. Trevor's brother Greg instructed him to bowl the ball underarm. He did so, causing great furore and probably the greatest cricket controversy since the Bodyline series in 1932-33. If you look at the likes of Matthew Hayden, there isn't a lot of difference in the way he plays test match cricket, and one day cricket. He has a lot to do with why Aussie score at around 4 an over, over long periods of time in test matches with the start he gives the batsmen following. Do you think the New Zealand top order should adopt this same 'Positive' attitude, bat with some intent, and try get on top of bowling attacks, Or prod and poke around as they are doing? moreResolved Question: Montitude Discussion : What do you think about Shivnarine Chanderpaul ?
I now realize that i am the King of this section , so it's my duty to ask great questions. Cricket section is dominated by sub-continental cricket questions so now i will start asking a few questions on great cricketers from other countries. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have a lot of respect for this guy. He has played most of his cricket on 'BOWLING WICKETS' & managed to score runs agaisnt good bowling line-ups. Even though his stats are great but i think he's a much better cricketer than what his stats tell. He has scored 14,000 international runs with an average of 40 in one day cricket & 46 in test cricket. He has scored runs in Australia, South Africa , New Zealand & England which proves that he has been a good batsman on bouncy picthes. He plays spin equally well. Chanderpaul is one of the few players to have gone 1000 minutes in Test cricket without conceding his wicket. He has done this three times, and is the only player to have done so more than once The possessor of the crabbiest technique in world cricket, Shivnarine Chanderpaul proves there is life beyond the coaching handbook. He never seems to play in the V, or off the front foot, but uses soft hands, canny deflections, and a whiplash pull-shot to maintain a Test average over 40. In cricket terms, Chanderpaul has had two main problems: first, a low conversion rate of around one hundred to every ten fifties, and secondly, his physical frailty, widely thought to be hypochondria. That myth was exploded when a large piece of floating bone was removed from his foot late in 2000, and, suitably liberated, he set about rectifying his hundreds problem, scoring three in four Tests against India in 2001-02, and two more in the home series against Australia the following year, including 104 as West Indies successfully chased a world-record 418 for victory in the final Test in Antigua. moreResolved Question: P&S Cricket World Cup (Round 2)?

being aussie and an aussie supporter i simply cannot believe what is happening to this team....first we lose to england....then we get thrashed by 10 wickets and now cant defend ANOTHER score of 300+ ...this is the 3rd time that we have lost a match scoring 320+...and quite frankly im sick and tired of seeing our bowlers having trouble defending such big totals...we should not be losing matches like this especially to second rate club teams like new zealand...i hear ponting is playing bloody golf while witnessing the demise of the no. 1 ODI ranking....there is no point getting 300+ scores if u cant defend them...shaun tait is shocking...phil jacques cant catch at all....cameron white cant bowl if his life depended on it...and brad hogg cant seem to pitch the damn ball....and mike hussey is the single worst captain in aussie cricket history....after losing this match i felt sick to my stomach...fielding is dreadful for our standard..we need to bring back the wizardry of warne...... mcgrath seems to be so frustrated with the current team that even he is losing his cool and bowling awful balls..and ur telling me that australia cant produce a quality spinner with all the cricket we play..our state sides could destroy most international teams except south africa and any of our state players can get into any other side in the world..i cant believe stuart clark has been left out and playing state cricket..the selectors should be shot dead..this is just gone horribly wrong and it really does hurt when our country loses sports when we are a very pround sports nation having all kinds of world champions in many many different sports..and 2 see our main sport cricket being humuliated the way we are..i certainly dont like it at all what so ever! we should be destroying NZ and england even with our 5th string side let alone our 1st or 2nd! 2 weeks ago we had every trophy in world cricket..and now we lost the CB series..and chappell-hadlee..dont tell me the world cup is next! moreResolved Question: Who is the best all rounder in cricket?(from recent performances)?
Top 3 contenders are 1.Sanath Jayasuriya 2.Jaques Kallis 3.Shaun Pollock For me its sanath jayasuriya.Look at his carreer record. He is the one and only ODI player to score over 10000 odi runs and to have 200+ wickets(getting closer to 300).This is enough to prove he is the best all rounder coz no one else has done that in history(note kallis and pollock havent). His fielding has been remarkable too(considering his age).He scored back to back hundreds in australia against australia in this year.He did same in england against england and in new zealand against new zealand. In tests also he has very similar records and he has also scored a massive 340 which jaques kallis not shaun pollock has been able to do that. Most of the people claim that its kallis who is the best all rounder for the sake of everybody is sayin. He used to be and not in the present.Same with Shaun Pollock. What do you think? cum on igorol man.Ur rite he is a useful bowler and not a specialized bowler.Cum on he has taken wckets in many ways.(not only by makin the batsman to miss the straight ball).Havent u noticed his arm ball, slower deliveries and other variations? Well well well my dear friend kallis WAS the best.Check out the begining of my question i have mentioned(from the current performances). Obviously any kid will say yes its jayasuriya and not kallis from the current performances Igorol man sangakkara cant be added to this section coz this is about allrounders from bat and ball. moreTop New Zealand Cricket Scores Links
