Resolved Question: How soon will I be able to play baseball after I get my torn Meniscus repaired?

I tore my miniscus 10 months ago coaching a high school baseball team and I'm getting surgery Jan 28th, finally!!! I saw two doctors within those ten months and both told me that I had only a sprain and to wear a knee brace. Unfortunatly I had to work all the time as a waiter and had no time to rest it. So for ten months I have been walking on my torn miniscus , in extreme pain, thinking it was just a sprain and hoping it would heal. Months kept going by and the pain kept getting worse and worese, so I finally decided to see an orthopedic , and what do you know torn miniscus. My question is how long will it be before I will be able to play baseball again at a competative level after surgery. I've read a 4-6 week recovery time, but I don't just want to recover I want to run 6.6 sec 60 yard sprints like I use too, is that possible?I missed my senior year of college baseball becuase of this and I'm only 23, I still want to play baseball!!! thanks anything to cheer me up will help. more
